Description
This artist signed antique porcelain pitcher from JCT Bavaria is beautifully hand-painted with multi colored grapes and leaves, and is quite large in dimensions. With gold accents and gorgeous artwork, this Victorian-style pitcher may have been used for water or cider and has a glossy finish. The item is an original piece manufactured in Germany by Jaeger, Thomas & Co. who opened a small decoration company in 1872. The green JCT mark on the bottom of this picture dates between 1872-1898. It is artist signed by Ethel Davis near the handle. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines, and very minimal gold paint wear. It stands almost 7 inches high, with a length and width of 8.5 inches, and a diameter of 4.5 inches. The pitcher is a perfect representation of grapes, making it an ideal decor item for wine lovers. It would look gorgeous displayed in a cabinet, but could definitely be used for that special occasion!
