This delicate, Thomas ‘Sevres’ Bavaria bone china porcelain decorative plate is marked and signed. Edged in gold gilt with a pale green band and below the band are blue flowers and green vines and has a mottled pastel background. Perfect for showing as a cabinet or mantel plate. This gorgeous “Thomas ‘Sevres’ Bavaria” plate features the back stamped with “Thomas” over “Sevres” over “Bavaria”, this mark was used from 1908-1939, making the plate 85 to 116 years old and is signed on front the “Stafford”. As with most bone china pieces you can hold the plate up to the light and see through to your fingers on the back. The company name of ‘Thomas Bavaria’ was 'Porzellanfabrik Thomas & Ens' at the beginning. Later, the company was taken over by the Rosenthal Group. Thomas Bavaria porcelain marks signed, with back stamp, and its estimated date of manufacture 1908-1939.
