Thomas Porcelain Factory OMG Decorated Thomas nSevre Barvaria Bitter Root "The first porcelain factory in the town of Marktredwitz, Bavaria opened in the year 1898 and was known under the name of Jaeger, Thomas & Co., until Thomas decided to open his own factory in 1903. Jaeger of course continued business as Jaeger & Co. and both companies later became famous. Based on the ideas Thomas introduced, success was nearly instantaneous and the new company quickly caught the attention of the Rosenthal Company in Selb and they became its major shareholder in 1908. Since then, Thomas has been run as an independent subsidiary of Rosenthal." Dimensions: 7-1/2" Diameter Description: Made of fine Bavarian white porcelain this beautiful antique plate features a large cluster of white roses with yellow centers and soft shaded green foliage, gold gilt rim edge accents and completes the design. The colors are soft and the artist has so masterfully painted these life-like roses that they could have been painted yesterday, truly beautiful.
